The College of Animal Welfare is one of the leading training providers of veterinary nurse and animal care education and training in the UK. This new full time position reflects the importance that the College’s places on its marketing function and is a challenge for those with either experience of a similar role in a commercial sales environment or an experienced sales representative who believes that it is now time for them to step up into management. Applicants with proven success and experience of the veterinary profession and/or animal welfare sector would have an advantage as would any applicant holding a professional marketing qualification. Taking on the responsibility for the College’s client services and the management of the new Client Training Advisors team, the role extends to responsibility for all marketing activities across The College of Animal Welfare group. With a turnover approaching £3million the successful applicant will be expected to contribute towards the continued growth of the College as it seeks to develop its interests to meet the needs of its clients, who are amongst the leading players in their field. As the role will involve visiting employers, a full driving licence is essential and a company car will be provided. Client Training Advisors are a new full time role created by the College to support veterinary and animal welfare employers with their training needs. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the job will involve a significant amount of time travelling to meet with employers to promote the College’s services and products as well as provide a referral service to other services not offered by the College. This will include devising staff development plans, identifying training needs and with regard to veterinary nurse training carrying out annual audit visits of Training Practices and Associate Training Practices. The College of Animal Welfare is one of the leading training providers of veterinary nurse and animal care education and the largest VNAC in the UK; with centres in Huntingdon, Potters Bar, Leeds and Edinburgh. Each centre will have its own Client Training Advisor and in Edinburgh the post will also involve supporting those employers providing BSc degree VN placements. Applicants should be qualified veterinary nurses. Those who have had experience in a training role or sales representative experience particularly within the veterinary market will have an advantage.
