In 1989 the College of Animal Welfare was established to further animal welfare through education and training.
Today the College is a ‘not for profit’ organisation specialising in veterinary nurse and animal care training and operates from five training centres based in the UK including two of the UK’s leading veterinary schools.
We are one of the leading bespoke training providers in the UK and provide training to most of the UK’s leading animal welfare charities. We provide a range of services for those working with animals including:
- bespoke training for animal welfare charities
- courses for animal care professionals working in local government
- consultancy services that includes government agencies and foreign animal welfare groups as our clients
- the general public looking to further their animal knowledge
The College has a well earned reputation for excellence, delivering quality training and education, and has a history of being pioneers with a number of unique achievements that have created new opportunities for learning.
The College takes great pride in its Equal Opportunities Policy. No student or job applicant shall be excluded from any course or job on the grounds of age, sex, marital status, religion or ethnic origin. Working with animals takes a lot of hard work, total commitment, and support if your knowledge and skill ambitions are to be achieved.
We are here to help, we want you to succeed, and we will do our utmost to achieve this.
