Speaker Profile:
Graduating as a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in June 1999, Romain Pizzi then went on to gain a Master of Science (MSc) in Wild Animal Health from the Royal Veterinary College & Institute of Zoology, Zoological Society of London (University of London) in September 2000.

In addition to a Certificate in Zoological Medicine (RCVS 2002), a MACVSc in Small Animal Surgery (Australian College of Veterinary Scientists 2005) and a Diploma in Zoological Medicine - Avian (RCVS 2005). Romain also holds an academic post as Special Lecturer in Zoo & Wildlife Medicine at the University of Nottingham, School of Veterinary Medicine and Science and was recognised with the Specialist Status of Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Recognised Specialist in Zoo & Wildlife Medicine in 2006.

Romain has been based in Scotland since 2006 as Director of Zoological Medicine Ltd, Dunfermline - a company offering consultancy services in Zoo, Wildlife & Exotic animal health, husbandry, medicine and pathology.

No matter how long you have been working within exotic pet medicine, veterinary nurses are sure to come away from this day course having gained both a new knowledge of exotics and having picked up some useful practical tips.
