Jo is a Veterinary Surgeon who graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2016. After several years in practice, she found a passion for teaching and started teaching with CAW in 2018, gaining her Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Education in 2020.

Jo currently teaches on the BSc Degree in Veterinary Nursing, Foundation Year in Veterinary Nursing and Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.

Jo spent several years volunteering at Colchester Zoo and London Zoo before studying Veterinary Medicine at RVC in 2011. After qualifying, she worked in a small animal practice before moving to an exotic referral hospital alongside Woburn Safari Park.

In her spare time, Jo volunteers at zoos around the UK and completes OOH shifts at VetsNow referral hospitals. Jo also likes to play the piano, and is currently learning the saxophone.

Jo is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS), an Associate of the British Veterinary Zoological Society (BVZS) and is currently working toward becoming a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
