Louise Chappell

BSc (Hons) Veterinary Nursing Dip AVN Cert Ed RVN

Veterinary Nursing Lecturer

Starting in clinical practice in 2002, Louise qualified in 2007. Louise then went on to achieve her Advanced Nursing Diploma in 2011 and her BSc in 2019.

Louise worked in first opinion practice, as well as referral and emergency, and critical care. Her passions for the role include being involved within ECC and having to think fast, and the satisfaction of seeing a patient being discharged after a long illness. Louise still works within ECC to help keep her clinical skills up to date.

Louise completed her certificate in education in 2017 after commencing teaching in animal care, and found that she enjoyed the new challenges teaching provided.

Outside of work Louise loves to read and spend time with her two dogs Connie and Phoebe, and her 20 year old green Amazon Parrot. She also enjoys running and has completed a number of 10km races, with her next challenge to complete a half marathon.
