The college’s priority remains to be our students, staff and visitors safety. With this in mind, we have limited regular planned Open Days at our centres. In the meantime, you can find a wealth of information regarding courses on the individual pages, along with gaining a greater insight to each of our centres below. If you would like to be notified of when our open days will be up and running again, please subscribe to our newsletter to stay informed.

Dog Grooming Open Days

The College of Animal Welfare runs two commercial, professional grooming parlours, in which students gain hands on, real life experience in grooming dogs. These are based in CAW Grooming School Huntingdon (Cambridgeshire), and Campus Vets and Pets in Leeds (West Yorkshire).

We pride ourselves on offering a professional and friendly service at affordable prices to those in the local community. Dogs are groomed by City & Guilds Dog Grooming students under the supervision of experienced and qualified dog groomers.

If you are interested in finding out more about our Dog Grooming courses and taking a look around the salon, we would love to see you at our Dog Grooming Open Day at our Huntingdon and Leeds centres on Saturday 18 February 2023, 10am – 3pm.

You’ll be able to have a go at some dog grooming, ask our groomers any questions you may have, see the centres and grooming rooms and find out about our courses, entry and fees. It’s completely free to attend and if you register your interest by emailing marketing@caw.ac.uk you’ll automatically be entered into our prize draw to win a mini brush kit. We would love to see you there.
