Branscombe Kennels & Cattery are offering applicants the opportunity to join their small vibrant team, working with dogs and cats in a lively and friendly environment. They will train and support you to develop a full range of knowledge and skills in all aspects of kennel and cattery work.
Duties will include managing the daily care of a range of dogs and cats, contributing to daily exercise, cleaning, and feeding routines, and maintaining the welfare of a range of dogs and cats.
- Wage: £15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age (National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices) Check minimum wage rates (opens in new tab)
- Hours: 5 days a week, Monday to Sunday – via a rota system (40 hours per week) 8.00am - 5.00pm, with an hour for lunch and additional breaks

Other requirements
The role involves working outside and is fairly physical. We are located approximately 2 miles from Shaftesbury. However, there are no bus services, so you will need to have access to transport to get you to and from work.
After this apprenticeship
On completion, most of their apprentices stay with the company, and progress to higher level training, so they also offer a career path for the future.
