The College of Animal Welfare offers the Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing qualification from it’s centre based in Wigan (Greater Manchester), with courses starting in September, January and April.

During the course you will learn the key skills and knowledge needed to thrive as a veterinary nurse, and gain significant industry experience in a veterinary practice. Completion of the diploma will allow you to apply for professional registration as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

You can undertake the diploma as a standalone qualification or train as an apprentice.

The College of Animal Welfare was established in 1989 by one of the leading animal welfare charities, Wood Green Animal Shelters in Cambridgeshire. Today, the college has five centres across the UK and specialises in training in the land-based sector.

Set between Manchester and Liverpool, the Wigan centre is near to the A49 and A577 or just a 10 minute walk from Wigan North Western or Wigan Wallgate train station.
