Achieve More with CAW Learning Support

At The College of Animal Welfare, we want every student to feel confident, capable, and supported throughout their learning journey. Our Learning Support Team is here to help you develop the skills, strategies, and confidence you need to succeed on your course and beyond.

Whether you’re looking for support with assignments, preparing for your End Point Assessment (EPA), improving your study skills, or managing your workload, we’re here to help every step of the way.

Preparing for Your End Point Assessment

Your EPA is your opportunity to demonstrate everything you’ve learned during your apprenticeship. If you’re feeling nervous about the Professional Discussion, you’re not alone – many learners do.

Our Learning Support Team can help you:

  • Organise and structure your thoughts
  • Reflect on your experiences and achievements
  • Identify examples that demonstrate your knowledge, skills, and behaviours
  • Practise discussing your work with confidence
  • Develop techniques to manage nerves and perform at your best

With the right preparation, the Professional Discussion can become an opportunity to showcase your strengths and celebrate your progress.

Support with Assignments

Writing assignments can sometimes feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to tackle them alone. We can help you build your confidence and develop effective academic skills, including:

  • Planning and structuring assignments
  • Understanding and answering assessment questions
  • Developing and expanding your ideas
  • Improving spelling, grammar, and written communication
  • Proofreading to enhance clarity, flow, and presentation

Our goal is not just to help with a single assignment but to equip you with skills that will support your future learning and career development.

Develop Better Study and Time Management Skills

Balancing study, work, and personal commitments can be challenging. We can help you create practical strategies that make managing your workload easier, including:

  • Breaking larger tasks into manageable steps
  • Setting realistic goals and deadlines
  • Creating study plans that work around your schedule
  • Staying organised and avoiding last-minute pressure

Small changes to the way you plan your time can make a big difference to your success and wellbeing.

Managing Stress and Building Confidence

Deadlines, assessments, and busy schedules can sometimes feel overwhelming. Our Learning Support Team provides a supportive space where you can discuss any challenges you’re facing and explore practical ways to stay on track.

We can help you:

  • Manage assessment and exam-related stress
  • Build confidence in your abilities
  • Develop positive study habits
  • Stay motivated throughout your course

Sometimes, having someone to talk things through with can make all the difference.

Support Tailored to You

Every learner is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to learning. That’s why we provide personalised support that focuses on your individual needs, strengths, and goals.

Whether you require occasional guidance or ongoing support, we’re committed to helping you achieve your full potential in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
