We’re excited to say the Level 3 Diploma in Equine Veterinary Nursing is returning in January 2027, and applications are open now!
This programme provides the opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge and practical experience required to become a qualified equine veterinary nurse, supported every step of the way by our expert tutors.
Key Facts
- Train while you work: Complete the programme over 2.5 years, gaining valuable clinical skills and experience alongside your studies.
- Online lessons plus in-centre practical training: Students will attend online lessons for one day per week, alongside 10 practical skills training days at our Huntingdon centre throughout the programme.
- Open to employed applicants: To apply, you must be 16 or over, employed in an equine or mixed (equine and small animal) veterinary training practice in England, and have the full support of your employer. If you’re not currently employed, read the advice and guidance on our website.
- Learn with cutting-edge technology: Students receive a free virtual reality headset on loan for the duration of your studies, helping you to build clinical confidence and prepare for your practical examinations.
- Apprenticeship route available This qualification can also be completed as part of an apprenticeship.
On completion of the course, you’ll be eligible to join the RCVS Register of Veterinary Nurses, opening the door to a rewarding career in equine veterinary nursing.
